Steelers, Giants, Bills, Broncos get bad news from Adam Schefter's trade rumor

The Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, and Denver Broncos just got some really bad news from ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.

During an appearance on ESPN's Get Up Monday morning, Schefter added a nugget on New Orleans Saints' wide receiver Rashid Shaheed and his status ahead of the November 4 deadline.

Though New Orleans is willing to move on from the speedy receiver, their asking price is through the roof. Schefter mentions that the Saints are looking for a third-round pick in return for Shaheed.

"I think there are a few teams interested in Rashid Shaheed,” Schefter said on ESPN’s Get Up Monday morning. “And the Saints also won’t part ways unless they feel like they’re getting fair value. I think they’ve been looking for a third-round pick in return.”

New Orleans asking for a third-round pick for Shaheed likely means the wide receiver market is incredibly costly. Though Shaheed can be a difference-maker, he is nowhere near worth a Day 2 pick.

Schefter reported on October 28 that the Steelers, Bills, and Broncos are actively looking for receivers on the trade market. The Giants could also be in the mix as they look to surround rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart with as much talent as possible.

This latest rumor from Schefter isn't a good sign for the receiver-needy squads, especially the contenders like Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Denver. There are still other potential options on the market other than Shaheed, including Jakobi Meyers and Calvin Ridley. However, based on Schefter's rumor on the Saints' asking price for Shaheed, it sounds like it's gonna take a lot to trade for an impactful receiver before November 4 at 4 p.m. ET.
