Well this is totally unexpected.
Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Jaydon Blue is inactive for Monday Night Football in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Miles Sanders is already out injured, so there didn't seem to be any path to Blue missing time out of the blue, too.
But here we are. Blue will be on the sideline Monday night and not in the game.

Why is Jaydon Blue inactive?
There's no specific reason out there for why Blue is inactive, but it has been reported that he is a healthy scratch.
Blue wasn't on the injury report this week, so this was a surprise announcement about 90 minutes before kickoff of the Monday night game in Week 9
Who is the Cowboys' backup RB?
The Cowboys' backup running back on Monday night is Malik Davis.
It makes sense that Dallas will give Javonte Williams all the carries he can handle.
The Cowboys also have fullback Hunter Luepke active.
More news may come out after the game about Blue, for now, all that's known is he's not going to be playing.
