Browns trade rumors update: Tracking latest news on Cleveland ahead of NFL trade deadline

6 hours ago 2

The Cleveland Browns are one of the top teams to watch at the 2025 NFL trade deadline. At 2-6, the Browns could be major sellers, but there is also a chance that the Cleveland front office looks to add to the roster by the deadline.

As the deadline approaches, Cleveland has had plenty of its players floated in trade rumors, and there are plenty of fan bases eager to see what the Browns end up doing at the deadline.

Andrew Berry and the Browns front office have already made a couple of moves in-season, and by the deadline, a few more could be on the table. Cleveland could wind up being buyers or sellers, as they've shown so far during the season.

Browns 2025 NFL trade deadline moves

Browns trade Joe Flacco to Bengals

Berry's second trade of the season sent 40-year-old quarterback Joe Flacco and a 2026 6th-round pick to the Cincinnati Bengals for a 2026 5th-round pick.

The most surprising of the Browns trades this season, Flacco being dealt to the Bengals, was an interesting move. Rarely do teams trade starting quarterbacks in the NFL, let alone during the season, and let alone to a division rival.

Since Flacco has joined the Bengals, Cincinnati has gone 1-3, but Flacco has been a perfect match for the offense. In four games, he's thrown for 1,254 yards, 11 touchdowns, and just two interceptions. In the same number of games in Cleveland, Flacco had 400 fewer yards, nine fewer touchdowns, and three times the interceptions.

Flacco has had an incredible time throwing to the Bengals' pass catchers, but it's amounted to a 1-3 record, and the Bengals are now in dire straits for a playoff spot.

Browns trade Greg Newsome II to the Jaguars for Tyson Campbell

The most recent trade pulled off by Berry and the front office was a very fascinating exchange. Cleveland sent cornerback Greg Newsome II and a 2026 6th-round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars for cornerback Tyson Campbell and a 2026 7th-round pick.

What makes this such an interesting trade is that it's a player swap at the same position, but the Browns were actually buying a cornerback who's signed for a lot longer. Campbell is locked up through the 2028 season, while Newsome is in a contract year.

Campbell had been struggling in Jacksonville, with a 106.4 passer rating allowed in five games. But after coming to Cleveland, he has a 67.5 passer rating.

Newsome has been the opposite, posting an 87.4 passer rating in Cleveland and a 158.3 passer rating in Jacksonville. In three games since joining the Jaguars, Newsome has allowed quarterbacks to have a perfect passer rating.

This deal has worked out great for the Browns so far, and is one of Berry's best moves in the last year. Campbell has been great and is around for the next 3.5 years.

Browns trade with Texans for Cam Robinson

In late September, the Browns and the Houston Texans swung a trade that sent offensive tackle Cam Robinson and a 2027 7th-round pick to Cleveland in exchange for a 2027 6th-round pick.

In addition, we've placed WR DeAndre Carter on injured reserve.

Through Week 9, Robinson has played in four games for the Browns, starting in three and playing 75 percent of the offensive snaps since coming to Cleveland. The 30-year-old veteran is on his fourth team in two seasons, and has been a key component of the Browns' offensive line since Berry acquired him in the final week of September

Browns players in trade rumors

While the Browns could wind up as buyers, those potential additions are likely young, long-term options. But the players who could be on the move from Cleveland are a much more extensive list.

On offense, Jerry Jeudy, David Njoku, Jerome Ford, Teven Jenkins, Joel Bitonio, Ethan Pocic, Wyatt Teller, and Jack Conklin are all names to keep an eye on. On defense, while Myles Garrett has drawn a lot of trade interest, he's not likely to be moved.

The Majority of the interest in the Browns' roster stems from the offensive side of the ball. Ford is one of the more likely players to be traded, as Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson have been incredible for the Browns so far this season.

It could be a busy deadline for Cleveland, as a lot of players could be on the move, or coming to the Browns as Berry and Kevin Stefanski look to right the ship in Cleveland.
