Alica Schmidt shared a sneak peek of her Christmas celebrations during a vacation in Bressanone, Italy. She shared the pictures from her trip, including her outfit.

Schmidt concluded her 2025 track season early in August after competing at the German Championships. Since then, she has been in her downtime and frequently shared glimpses of her time away from the court. Recently, she posted endearing snaps of her Christmas celebration with her family.

In another story, she posted a picture of the view from her hotel, Santre Dolomythic Home, which is located in Bressanone, South Tyrol, Italy. It featured a view of the mountains from the pool of the property. The story's caption read:

Schmidt recently celebrated her 27th birthday in November. She revealed that she had a dream come true moment as she attended the composer Hans Zimmer's concert.

Alica Schmidt opened up about not qualifying for the World Championships

Alica Schmidt competed in the 800m heats at the German National Championships in a quest to secure a spot in the 2025 World Athletics Championships. She earned a third-place finish in this race; however, she still fell short of qualifying, as the top two positions were taken by Smilla Kolver and Laura Wihelm.

Shortly after the competition, she shared two pictures of herself from the national championships and penned a lengthy note in the caption. Opening up about not qualifying for the World Championships, she revealed that she suffered from Covid-19 ahead of the German Championships. Calling 2025 a tough season for her, she wrote:

"This season really put me to the test this year. Tough races, lots of lessons, and a whole lot of growth. It wasn’t the season I was hoping for, but it was definitely the one I needed. Unfortunately I caught Covid a few days before Nationals, so I wasn’t able to show up at my best, definitely frustrating," wrote Alica Schmidt.

She added:

"This year is about committing, learning, challenging and accepting. Everything I need to learn on how to tackle the 800m. Hoping to get my body 100% healthy again and squeeze in a few more races before shifting focus to 2026. Still completely in love with the process. 🫶🔥"
