Ishan Kishan and Sakibul Gani broke former Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Anmolpreet Singh's record for the fastest List A hundred by an Indian during the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2025-26 on Wednesday, December 24.

Sakibul Gani broke the record for the fastest List A hundred by an Indian. The Bihar captain slammed a century off just 32 balls against Arunachal Pradesh. He struck an unbeaten 128 off just 40 balls with 10 fours and 12 sixes at a staggering strike rate of 320.00.

Anmolpreet previously held the record, having scored a 35-ball ton for Punjab in the 2024 edition of the VHT. He had scored an unbeaten 115 off 45 balls against Arunachal Pradesh.

Notably, Ishan Kishan also broke Anmolpreet's record on the same day as Sakibul. Ishan blasted a century off just 33 balls for Jharkhand against Karnataka. The left-hander smashed a thrilling 125 off just 39 balls with seven boundaries and 14 sixes at a strike rate of 320.51.

Ishan Kishan's 33-ball century is now the second-fastest by an Indian in List-A cricket, behind Sakibul's 32-ball ton. With the two batters breaking the record, Anmolpreet's ton is now the third-fastest.
