Wendell Carter Jr Catches Wild Stray From Knicks Legend Over 'Dating' Angel Reese

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Walt Frazier chimed in on the dating rumors involving Orlando Magic big man Wendell Carter Jr. and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese.

Frazier made his comments during the broadcast of Saturday's game between the Magic and the New York Knicks. Frazier served as the color commentator alongside play-by-play announcer Mike Breen.

"Wendell Carter getting kudos these days, Mike. He's dating Angel Reese," Frazier said. Breen responded: "Keeping up on the romance in the NBA and WNBA?"

"Well, when you Google his name that's all they have," Frazier said.

Carter and Reese have been rumored to be in a relationship. According to the New York Post's Jenna Lemoncelli, speculation started early this year when Carter attended the Sky star's birthday celebration in May. Both players have also supported each other by attending games.

Wendell Carter Jr. is in his eighth NBA season. The Chicago Bulls drafted him as the No. 7 pick in 2018. Coming into Saturday, Carter is averaging 12.4 points and 7.6 rebounds on 51.6% shooting in 16 games.

On the other hand, Reese has just finished her second WNBA season. She was named an All-Star for the second straight year, averaging 14.7 ppg and 12.6 rpg on 45.8% shooting.

The rumors around the Wendell Carter Jr. and Angel Reese increased this week as the Orlando Magic big man commented on what's really happening between them.

In an interview on "Run It Back" on Monday, Carter was asked by host Chandler Parsons if he is dating Reese.

"That’s the homie for sure," Carter said. "We’re locked in. That’s the homie. Y’all going to find out when y’all need to find out. We’ll just leave it at that. That’s my girl, though. We locked in for sure."

While Carter's viral remarks are vague, many fans have speculated that the two are indeed a couple.

The relationship rumors between Reese and Carter are much talked about, considering the two-time WNBA All-Star's huge following on social media. Reese has become arguably one of the most popular WNBA players. She has several off-court endeavors, most notably appearing in the 2025 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
