The Cave Update in 99 Nights in the Forest has released a new entity into the wilds. After multiple teasers in the previous update, the Bat has arrived in the Forest Biome, ready to attack players who enter its cave. Finding it requires players to descend underground and navigate dangerous tunnels, all the while fighting the stronger variants of the Cultists.

The Bat entity has poor sight but an ear-deafening scream. To avoid taking damage from it, take cover behind a structure such as a wall or a tree. Keep in mind that this entity's cave could also include darker Cultists, which are stronger variants of the regular ones.

About the Bat in 99 Nights in the Forest

The Deer is Hurt update teased the Bat as an entity stronger than the Deer. In the update cutscene, it zoomed and attacked the Deer in the forest, after which the latter was found brutally injured next to the Campfire. Players had to tend to the monster's injuries so that it could recuperate and locate the Bat's lair.

In the latest update, the Bat is a threat to players. It can be found deep inside caves, inside large chambers with little light. You'll need an Old or a Strong Flashlight to navigate around the dark tunnels.

When the Bat knows about your location, it sends a scream that travels like a shockwave in your direction. Get behind a pillar, a wall, or any structure while inside the cave to avoid taking damage. Like other entities, you can also stun the Bat by quickly turning on and off the flashlight at its face.
