The purple Minnesota Vikings and the purple Baltimore Ravens are set to square off in Week 10, creating an instant battle for the make-believe purple championship.

Of course, the only championship that matters to many is the fantasy football championship. The game will be just another step up toward that fate or a step down toward purgatory. It will be up to managers to choose their step.

To do so, they must pick the best players to start on Sunday. Here's a look at the best and worst options heading into Sunday's contest between the two teams.

When healthy, Lamar Jackson is a set-and-forget fantasy football option. No matter where or against whom, start Jackson. Justin Jefferson isn't having the breakout season many are accustomed to seeing, but if you have a spot in need of a receiver, there are few better options on most teams.

Jordan Addison is a must-start if you want a receiver essentially guaranteed to avoid the dreaded 0.0 final score.

Don't neglect Baltimore's skill position players, either. Zay Flowers could be in for a big day, while Derrick Henry has returned to form under Jackson. Mark Andrews has also seen a boost. As long as Jackson is starting for Baltimore, many more of the offense's key players will be viable.

While there are plenty of players worth starting in the game between Minnesota and Baltimore, there are also names to avoid from a fantasy football perspective.

The Minnesota Vikings defense will have its hands full with one of the better offenses in the NFL on deck. The unit might hold its own, but with many options likely to be available on the waiver wire, chances are good that there is a better option.

J.J. McCarthy is trending toward bust territory in 2025 for Minnesota and in fantasy football. If you have a better option, consider starting them. The Ravens defense is much better than it was to start the season, with many key pieces back in the fold. According to the official Ravens injury report, not a single player aside from those placed on IR missed Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins.

With the Ravens coming off a shutdown performance of Tua Tagovailoa, don't expect McCarthy to perform much better.
