Justin Trudeau Subtly References Katy Perry With Fintastic Halloween Costume
Don't let Katy Perry's sweet reference to her kid be the one that got away.
The "Dark Horse" singer released her music video for her new song "Bandaids" on Nov. 6, and the clip included a meaningful tribute to her 5-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, who she shares with ex Orlando Bloom.
In the video, Katy gets injured multiple times through a series of freak accidents while she seemingly sings about her breakup with Orlando, with whom she ended her engagement in June following nine years together.
“Hand to God I promise I tried / There’s no stone left unturned," she sings on the first verse. "It’s not what you did, it’s what you didn’t / You were there but you weren’t.”
But despite being unable to fix their issues, Katy admits she doesn't have any regrets about their love story on the bridge. At that point in the video, the "Hot 'N' Cold" singer spots a single daisy flower sprouting up through the otherwise barren train tracks, showing that their failed romance ultimately still gave her an immeasurable gift: her daughter.
“If I had to do it all over again / I would still do it all over again,” Katy lip-synchs in the clip while admiring the flower. "The love that we made was worth it in the end.”
Of course, this isn't the first time the "Firework" artist has gotten candid about how important motherhood has been to her journey. In fact, Katy previously detailed how raising her little one has even influenced her creative process.
"What she has given me in my life [is] the unconditional love that I was always searching for," she told E! News in April 2024. "That is where I am creating from. Just like wholeness, happiness and just true full love."

And Katy emphasized that Orlando—who is also dad to 14-year-old son Flynn with ex Miranda Kerr—feels just as grateful about becoming a girl dad.
"She had some good karma coming to us," the 41-year-old said in 2024 during an appearance on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up. "She is such our gift and she is such a blessing."
