Jessica Pegula and Elena Rybakina will square off in the first semifinal of the WTA Finals this year. The American defeated Jasmine Paolini in straight sets to secure her place in the last four.

Pegula entered Riyadh after a close runner-up finish in Wuhan. After crusing past Katerina Siniakova and Aryna Sabalenka in the initial few rounds, she came up shy against the third seed Coco Gauff.

Pegula avenged her loss against Gauff during the first group-stage match in Riyadh. She then stumbled during the second test against Sabalenka but held her nerve in a must-win contest against Jasmine Paolini. The fifth seed defeated the Italian in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.

Meanwhile, Elena Rybakina entered Riyadh after a semifinal exit in Tokyo. Despite being in clinical form, she chose to withdraw from the semifinals due to fitness concerns against Noskova.

The Kazakh started her campaign in Riyadh by breezing past Amanda Anisimova and Iga Swiatek in the first two rounds. She then outmuscled Ekaterina Alexandrova on Wednesday, 6-4, 6-4. Rybakina is still unbeaten in Riyadh.

Pegula will face Rybakina for the first time in two years on tour. She leads the head-to-head against her 3-1 and defeated her most recently at the WTA Finals in 2023.

The winner of this match will face either Aryna Sabalenka or Amanda Anisimova in the final. Without further ado, let's look at their match schedule and streaming details in Riyadh.
