Team India had a disappointing year in Test cricket in 2025. They payed 10 matches in the red-ball format, winning four and losing five, while one Test match ended in a draw. India thus ended 2025 in Tests with a win percentage of 40.

India began 2025 with a six-wicket loss to Australia in Sydney. A young side then managed to pull off a credible 2-2 draw in England against a strong opposition. The visitors lost the first Test in Leeds by five wickets, but fought back to win the Birmingham Test by 336 runs. After losing the Lord's Test by a close margin, they hung on for a draw in Manchester and won The Oval Test by six runs.

India had it easy against West Indies at home, winning the two-match series 2-0. However, they ended 2025 with a 2-0 home defeat against South Africa. While India had a poor year in Tests overall, there were a few memorable performances by their bowlers. On that note, let's take a look at the top 5 Indian bowlers with most Test wickets in 2025.

#5 Prasidh Krishna (20 wickets)

Team India pacer Prasidh Krishna played four Tests in 2025, claiming 20 wickets at an average of 31.30. His economy was a problem for the side as he went at 4.74, which is why he only played a limited number of games.

Prasidh claimed eight wickets in India's close win at The Oval. He registered figures of 4-62 in the first innings and followed it up with 4-126 in the second essay. Prasidh also claimed six wickets against Australia in Sydney (3-42 & 3-65) and chipped in with five wickets in the Leeds Test (3-128 & 2-92).

#4 Kuldeep Yadav (20 wickets)

Like Prasidh, left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav also played four Tests in 2025. He too claimed 20 wickets, but at a much better average of 23.15, with one five-wicket haul to his credit.

Kuldeep claimed eight wickets during the two-match Test series against South Africa, averaging 28.62, with one four-wicket haul.

#3 Ravindra Jadeja (25 wickets)
