A wave of nostalgia washed over NASCAR fans after an IMSA team, KohR Motorsports, revealed a striking Greg Biffle tribute livery ahead of the next month’s Michelin Pilot Challenge at Daytona, and the reaction online was instant.

On Wednesday (December 24), KohR Motorsports revealed a paint scheme for the #60 Ford Mustang GT4 inspired by Biffle’s iconic Roush Fenway Racing era, adorning the red and black colors that the late NASCAR driver took to the 2002 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship. The hood of the #60 car will have the names of Biffle and his family, along with the names of all of the passengers who were killed in last week’s devastating plane crash.

After Sportscar 365 revealed the Biffle-inspired livery on their official X (formerly known as Twitter) account, fans flooded the comments with praise, emotion, and one clear takeaway.

Here are some of the fan reactions:

“Sick livery! That Mustang's gonna turn heads at Daytona,” one fan wrote.

“Triple B Hell Yeah!” the third fan commented.

“This is really awesome. A great tribute to The Biff. Thank you” another user added. “Beast scheme choice. Hope they can get it done for Biffle” a fifth user wrote. “Too soon,” a sixth fan commented.

The classic Biffle livery was designed by renowned motorsports graphic designer Andy Blackmore.

The racing community has been in mourning in the last week. In a horrifying plane crash, not only NASCAR driver, but also his wife Cristina, daughter Emma, son Ryder, pilot Dennis Dutton, his son Jack Dutton, and friend Craig Wadsworth were all taken too early.

This is the first of many Biffle livery tributes, as fans can expect more in 2026.

NASCAR legend shares emotional message to Greg Biffle’s mourning family

Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson was among those who were sad after hearing the demise of Biffle and his family. Johnson and Biffle had raced against each other on the racetrack.

Reacting to Biffle’s death, Johnson wrote on X:

“The loss of Greg Biffle and his beautiful family is unspeakable. Greg was one of the most spirited competitors I've raced against and he was certainly a friend. My heart is hurting for his loved ones, family, friends, and fans.”

Greg Biffle, 55, was never the loudest personality in the garage, but his impact was undeniable. Named as one of NASCAR’s 75 greatest drivers, he secured 19 Cup Series races, finished runner-up in the 2005 standings, and was a crucial part of Roush Fenway Racing.
