Tony Khan massively dropped the ball with popular star, says veteran: "Could've been AEW's R-Truth"

A veteran claimed that Tony Khan dropped the ball on a star who could've been AEW's R-Truth. The star has not been on TV for a long time and has been rumored to leave the promotion as well.

The indie wrestling veteran and former AEW star, Joey Janela believes Tony Khan missed the boat on the popular star, Danhausen. Very Nice Very Evil has not been on TV since his last appearance at the Worlds End 2023 pay-per-view. He has been quite active on the independent wrestling scene while being under contract with All Elite Wrestling.

Taking to the X social media platform recently, Joey Janela claimed that Danhausen is the biggest ball dropped by Tony Khan, as he was the biggest potential merch seller. Janela also said that Danhausen could've been AEW's version of R-Truth:

"Biggest ball dropped by AEW. Best merch, biggest potential merch seller, most marketable, could’ve been AEWs R truth would’ve figured out a spot for him for life.." Joey wrote.

It has been rumored for months that the WWE is interested in signing Danhausen as soon as his current contract is up. However, it is obscure when Very Nice Very Evil will be free from his contract to explore other options.

R-Truth on Nick Khan reaching him after his WWE release

Earlier this year, R-Truth got shockingly released from the WWE despite being one of the most beloved Superstar among the fans and his peers. Nevertheless, he was hired back after a massive fan outrage all over social media.

Speaking with New York Post recently, Truth revealed that the WWE President, Nick Khan reached out to him immediately after his release:

“Yes. Nick. Yes. Man, that meant a lot to me. That meant so much to me, man. We sat on the phone for like an hour. I really appreciated him calling me. The things he said to me on the phone," Truth disclosed.

Meanwhile, Ron Killings is back to being a funny character on TV and only time will tell what the future has in store for him.
