The Detroit Lions are now 5-3 following a 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. While they will look to get back on the winning track, they could also be looking to add more talent ahead of the NFL trade deadline, which is just one day away.
A new target could be on the Lions' radar, as Jordan Schultz reports that the Miami Dolphins are opening to trading safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
"Sources: The Dolphins have been open to trading 5x Pro Bowl S Minkah Fitzpatrick, and there has been interest from multiple teams," Schultz reports. "Miami already traded Jaelan Phillips to the Eagles on Monday morning for a 3rd-round pick."
Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that the Lions have been in the market for a safety, as Kerby Joseph has been in and out of the lineup all season.
Fitzpatrick is a three-time First-Team All-Pro with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was drafted by the Dolphins in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft before being traded to the Steelers in 2019 for a first-round pick. The Steelers traded him back to Miami in the offseason in exchange for Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith.
