"That hit me hard" – WWE veteran praises Cody Rhodes’ vicious verbal assault on SmackDown

WWE legend Mark Henry spoke about Cody Rhodes' promo on SmackDown. The star was in action on the blue brand this week.

Cody Rhodes fell victim to a vicious attack by Drew McIntyre this week. However, he showed up again and prevented Bronson Reed from advancing in the Last Time is Now tournament. He then cut a scathing promo on the Vision and Paul Heyman.

This week on the Busted Open podcast, Henry noted that Cody's promo stood out during the entire show. He felt the Undisputed Champion made a great point when he said that he would cut down every Paul Heyman guy that stood in front of him. Mark also explained that Dusty Rhodes was the brains behind the WarGames match, and it was indeed destiny that Cody would have an advantage in this type of matchup.

"Cody talked about him going into WarGames. That's the thing that stood out to me the most out of everything that happened on this show. It's the fact that he told Paul Heyman, 'You help create them, and I just keep knocking them down. And it's not something that I just want to do.' He said, 'Hell, it's my birthright.' That hit me hard. For those of you that don't know, the American Dream Dusty Rhodes was the guy that's responsible for WarGames. That is Cody's birthright. What his father created before him, he should have a leg up on everybody."

Cody Rhodes will be at WarGames

At this year's Survivor Series, Cody Rhodes will be walking into another WarGames match.

He will be teaming up with CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and The Uso against the formidable team of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar.

It will be interesting to see if the babyfaces can come up with the win in this star-studded matchup.
