WWE is currently working tirelessly for its final Premium Live Event of the year, Survivor Series: WarGames 2025. Fans are highly excited for the card, especially for its traditional WarGames bouts.

The company will host two WarGames matches, one for men and one for women. The Monday Night RAW from the historic Madison Square Garden saw the men's bout getting locked, with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns joining teams as the fifth members.

Tonight on SmackDown, returning AJ Lee, who cost Becky Lynch her title on last RAW, joined Team Rhea Ripley. Meanwhile, the Man revealed herself on the Team Kabuki Warriors.

In this listicle, we will look at three reasons why the former Divas Champion joined Team Mami for WarGames:

#3. Craft her feud with Lynch

Ever since she returned to the Stamford-based promotion, Lee has been involved in a feud with The Man. AJ teamed up with her husband and the current World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk, to take on Becky and Seth Rollins in a mixed tag team bout at WrestlePalooza 2025.

Lee returned on RAW and cost the Man her strap. AJ being on the babyface team and Becky on the heel side would put more mainstream eyeballs on their rivalry, as it will be a non-title rivalry between two icons of their eras.

#2. WWE wanted more star power

The 38-year-old female legend attracts a massive fan base that supports her blindly and beyond; her inclusion in the WarGames bout at Survivor Series 2025 Premium Live Event has added more star power to the event.

With WWE stars like Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, the Black Widow, Nia Jax, and more booked for the traditional match, it can arguably be the most stacked bout ever.

#1. Surprise factor

Adding surprise factors to the multi-star matches is perfect for bringing in some legends, making it even grander. For this year's Women's WarGames bout, AJ Lee has come out as a surprise for the fans.

This would mark the Black Widow's first-ever WWE WarGames match and give fans a glimpse of her inside the ring against multiple opponents at the same time.
