NFL fans think Drake Maye is actually Tom Brady's cloned son because of a viral fake post

Drake Maye is the face of the New England Patriots.

And some people on the Internet are amused by the possible origin of that face.

A viral post is going around that says Tom Brady cloned his own DNA 23 years ago. Maye, as others have gone on to point out, is 23 years old.

Of course, none of this is real. But it's pretty funny.

This is the original post, even adding in a detail about happening in North Carolina. Maye starred in high school in the Charlotte area before going to UNC.

That NFL Drop account is a parody account that just posts satirical content.

This all likely stems from Brady saying that he had cloned his beloved dog.

Maye isn't a Brady clone, though. He's much too good a runner for that to be true.

The Patriots would gladly take all of Brady's other accomplishments out of Maye, though. He's certainly the most hope they've had since Brady left for the Buccaneers.

Will Maye win seven Super Bowls? It seems unlikely. 

But he's got the franchise pointed in the right direction, only his own DNA needed.
