Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet were honoured on December 19 by the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame, with their jointly owned Kubota High Limit Racing series earning national recognition for its impact on sprint car racing. The award acknowledged the pair’s work as promoters, following another landmark season for the rapidly growing 410 winged sprint car tour.

Kubota High Limit Racing was founded in 2022 by NASCAR Cup Series champion Larson and six-time sprint car champion Sweet. It has completed three full seasons as a national touring series and quickly established itself as one of the most prominent dirt tours in the country.

The Sprint Car Hall of Fame’s National 410 Poll Awards recognized that growth, as Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet were named Promoters of the Year. High Limit Racing acknowledged the honour in an X post:

“Rome wasn’t built in a day, but they were laying bricks every hour.” That’s what these two have been doing ever since High Limit was created. And now in 2025, @BradSweetRacing & @KyleLarsonRacin are named Promoters of the Year from the @SprintCarHOF National 410 Poll Award!”

The night also celebrated several standout performers from the 2025 sprint car season. Rico Abreu, who captured the High Limit Racing championship with 21 wins, was voted both Driver of the Year and Team of the Year alongside the Rico Abreu/Curb-Agajanian Racing crew. Brad Sweet was further recognized with the Thomas J. Schmeh Outstanding Contribution to the Sport Award.

High Limit Racing was well represented across multiple categories. Doug Johnson of Huset’s Speedway was named 410 Promoter of the Year, while High Limit pit reporter Tony LaPorta earned National 410 Media Member of the Year honours. Justin Fiedler of Dirtrackr.com also received Media Member of the Year recognition. In the technical categories, CASM Safety and Toyota Racing Development were honoured as Builder/Innovator/Manufacturer of the Year.

Kyle Larson himself remained competitive throughout the 2025 Kubota High Limit Racing season. He won at Eldora Speedway’s Joker’s Jackpot, runner-up finishes at Fremont and Texas Motor Speedway, and strong performances at Red Cedar, Lucas Oil Speedway, and Kokomo. The series now looks ahead to 2026, which will open at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 12-14 and conclude with the All-In Championship Weekend at Texas Motor Speedway on October 16-17.

Earlier this year, Kubota High Limit Racing announced a franchise-based structure set to take effect in 2026. Under the system, 10 teams will hold permanent franchise positions designed to provide guaranteed income and long-term value, independent of weekly race results.

Franchise “cards” will be ranked annually using a rolling two-year average of points finishes, with higher-ranked cards receiving larger guaranteed payouts. From 2026 through 2029, the system will distribute increasing amounts of prize money, starting with a guaranteed $2.6 million in payments to the top 10 franchises in its first year. Additional cards will be introduced in later seasons based on performance benchmarks, without diluting existing value.

The move comes as NASCAR itself prepares to introduce evergreen charters for Cup Series teams beginning in 2026, following the resolution of its antitrust lawsuit involving 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports. While NASCAR’s long-term charter framework is yet to be defined, High Limit Racing’s approach positions it as one of the first dirt racing series to adopt a franchise-style structure.

Kyle Larson’s schedule remains packed heading into the new year. He is set to travel to Australia later this month to compete in High Limit International at the Perth Motorplex, an event he won in its inaugural running. From there, he will return to the United States for winged sprint car competition around Tulsa, while also supporting his children’s participation in Chili Bowl-related events.

The NASCAR Cup Series resumes on February 1 with the Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium, marking the start of another busy season for Kyle Larson across multiple disciplines as High Limit Racing prepares for its most ambitious year yet in 2026.
