The F1 world is on a break as the winter break allows drivers and teams to take some time off before returning to work as early as January. Lewis Hamilton has taken his time to go on a trip to New York City, as is his yearly tradition.

On Saturday, the Ferrari driver took to Instagram to share a few glimpses from his trip to the American city. This also included an image of himself with Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan. This social media post went viral as it attracted over 1.3 million likes and over 4000 comments in just over 15 hours. The post was also reposted by over 11.8 thousand users.

"My favourite city. NYC is such an inspiring and insightful place. I’m so grateful to spend time here every year, where it’s so easy to reflect and tap into our shared creativity and humanity," wrote Hamilton. "The world moves fast and we can’t forget how important it is to move with peace and intention and surround yourself with people who lead with curiosity and care. I ❤️ NY, always," he added.

Lewis Hamilton was also spotted in London recently as he attended a brand event at Lululemon's Regent Street Store on December 14.

The most successful driver in the history of F1 has had a tough time of late as his marriage with Ferrari never entered the honeymoon phase in their first year together. Now, Hamilton will be hoping to bounce back stronger in 2026, as he prepares himself for F1's latest era.

Lewis Hamilton has claimed that he is unsure whether the fans are going to enjoy the F1 regulations that are all set to be introduced from the 2026 season onwards. The veteran explained that he has experienced "less downforce and more torque" while trying the new car out in the simulator.

Speaking about the new era of F1, Hamilton explained that it was very hard to predict how things would pan out once the cars are out on track.

“I think it’s really, really hard to predict what it’s going to be like. I don’t want to say too many negative things. It feels so much different, and I’m not sure you’re going to like it," said Hamilton. [via Motorsportweek] “We have less downforce, more torque. Driving in the rain, I can imagine it’s going to be very, very, very tough," he added.

Hamilton then said that he was hoping to be surprised when he goes out on track in 2026 and that the regulations turn out to be incredible. He also explained that "maybe" the cars will be amazing and that overtaking will be easier and much more entertaining.
