Production companies BLUE BY BLUE and AXIS have officially announced their new project, Killing House, a Korean BL thriller noir directed by the filmmaker behind Love in the Big City. The drama marks a collaboration between the two studios, known for their previous works including Semantic Error, City Boy Log, and FC Soldout.

Killing House will consist of 8 episodes, each running approximately 25 minutes. The series is expected to be released on both domestic and international OTT platforms. Starring Lee Jeong-ho and Kim Kyung-min in the lead roles, the drama is set to bring a new edge to the Korean BL landscape with its mix of suspense, desire, and moral conflict.

The story follows police officer and a professional killer who are forced to live together for a week, setting the stage for a tense and emotionally charged cohabitation. As one tries to uncover the truth and the other struggles to conceal his secret, an unexpected attraction begins to form between them.

As per the production, Killing House tells the story of Seo Yi-do, a professional killer who arrives at a secluded villa with the mission to assassinate his target, Heo Dong-hwa. However, the assignment takes an unexpected turn when he is instructed by his boss to remain at the villa instead of completing the task. His situation becomes complicated when Chu Tae-jeong, a police detective and Dong-hwa’s longtime friend, visits the house intending to stay for a week.

Mistaking Yi-do for his friend Dong-hwa’s younger brother, Heo Dong-jin, Tae-jeong settles into the villa, unaware that the man is actually a killer and that his friend is being held captive. Yi-do uses the misunderstanding to his advantage, posing as Dong-jin to conceal his identity. The situation grows tense as Tae-jeong begins to suspect inconsistencies in Yi-do’s behavior who becomes torn between his instincts as a killer and an unfamiliar pull toward the man living beside him.

Chu Tae-jeong, aged 29, is a detective in the Violent Crimes Unit. Despite his line of work, he has a gentle and cheerful personality. After serving in Seoul, he takes a brief vacation in his hometown of Dongcheon, where he plans to reunite with Dong-hwa.

Upon his arrival, he finds a stranger in Dong-hwa’s place and begins to notice strange occurrences in the villa. Tae-jeong’s investigation soon connects to the mysterious disappearance of his father, a former police officer. Though upright and principled, Tae-jeong finds his perspective shifting as he grows closer to Yi-do, developing an emotional bond that challenges his sense of justice.

Meanwhile, Seo Yi-do, aged 23, is a skilled assassin has a blunt personality and maintains a strict, disciplined lifestyle shaped by years of training. He is raised by Choi Moo-geon after the death of his mother. When Tae-jeong appears, Yi-do initially plans to eliminate him to protect his secret, but hesitation and emotional conflict intervene.

Beneath his cold and ruthless exterior however, lies a quiet yearning for peace, with a dream of escaping to Finland. His growing affection for Tae-jeong leads him into an emotional struggle between loyalty, love, and survival.

The Killing House explores the uneasy coexistence between two men on opposing sides of morality. As Seo Yi-do hides his identity and Tae-jeong investigates his friend’s disappearance, their relationship evolves from mistrust to forbidden attraction. However, the roles of Lee Jeong-ho and Kim Kyung-min have not yet been officially revealed.

Other than the two lead Killing House also has Dong-hwa, 29 years old privileged son of a wealthy businessman and Tae-jeong’s former classmate. Though charming on the surface, he harbors a dark past, including a murder he covered up using his family’s influence. His reckless lifestyle of drugs and excess hides his manipulative tendencies, as he uses those around him, including his friend Tae-jeong and the corrupt officer Kang Cheol-jin, to maintain control.

Cheol-jin, is also 29, a hometown acquaintance of Tae-jeong. He is Weak-willed and morally compromised. Meanwhile, 42 years old Choi Moo-geon is Seo Yi-do’s mentor who seeks to expand his power by manipulating events behind the scenes. The leader of a contract killing organization he is connected to the death of Tae-jeong’s father.

Killing House delves into the complex relationship between love, guilt, and morality. As Seo Yi-do and Chu Tae-jeong are forced into a fragile cohabitation, their connection evolves from suspicion to forbidden desire. The drama explores how love can bloom even in the shadows of violence and deception, merging emotional vulnerability with the tension of a noir thriller. It promises to deliver a gripping blend of crime, psychological conflict, and romance, portraying two men caught between opposing worlds and the inevitable collision of truth and emotion.
