Jon Rahm's LIV Golf teammate Tom McKibbin jumped into the top 100 in the Official World Golf Ranking after winning the 2025 Link Hong Kong Open. The Northern Irish golfer teed it up at last week's Asian Tour event, which started with its first round on Thursday, Oct. 30.
He was exceptional with his game and registered a seven-stroke win. He received 14.91140 points in the ranking and jumped 24 spots. McKibbin was ranked 109th ahead of the event and reached 85th after the tournament. It’s his best OWGR ranking.
Meanwhile, Jon Rahm is currently ranked 71st in the world. The Spanish golfer plays in LIV Golf, which doesn’t grant any ranking points, and thus, he has struggled to maintain his ranking. Rahm was ranked third in the world before joining LIV Golf at the start of the 2024 season. In two years, he has slipped outside the top 50 in the world.
Meanwhile, Tom McKibbin was ranked 114th in the world before he played at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, his first tournament of the year on the DP World Tour. He had an impressive outing and settled for a tie for sixth, jumping to 99th place in the OWGR. After last week’s outing, he jumped within the top 80.
