Jemimah Rodrigues played the innings of a lifetime as India beat defending champions Australia by five wickets in the ICC Women's World Cup semifinal in Navi Mumbai on Thursday, October 30. Chasing 339, the right-handed batter scored an unbeaten 127 runs off 134 balls with the help of 14 boundaries. It was her 3rd ODI ton, first against the Aussies.

During her match-winning knock, she shared a 167-run partnership with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (89) for the third wicket after the Women in Blue lost openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma early.

With back-to-back 76* and 127* against New Zealand and Australia, the 25-year-old also proved her worth after being dropped from the playing XI against England in the ongoing ICC event. India had lost that game by four runs.

Rodrigues would now be keen to continue her purple patch and help India win their maiden ODI World Cup trophy. The Women in Blue will face off against South Africa Women in the tournament final in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, November 2.
