Jaxson Dart drops strong hint in social media post that will fire Giants fans up

Get ready for the return of Jaxson Dart in the very near future.

The New York Giants quarterback is confirmed out for the Week 12 game against the Detroit Lions, but we might not have to wait much longer for his return.

Dart took to Instagram on Friday night with a cryptic post that hints he will make it back by the Monday night game against the New England Patriots in Week 13.

While Dart wasn't able to make it back in time for this week, the Giants' rookie sensation didn't need to post that cryptic message for us to know he's close.

Dart showed clear progress this past week by taking part in three limited practices, which was his first semblance of participation since his injury.

Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com reports that Dart will be traveling with the team to Detroit, which he says is another sign of progress in the concussion protocol.

"Jaxson Dart is traveling with Giants to Detroit," Stapleton wrote. "He has already been ruled out for tomorrow, but obviously a good sign that he has not suffered a setback in concussion protocol."

In the mean time, the Giants will turn back to Jameis Winston once again, with Russell Wilson backing him up.

Hopefully this injury will make the Giants change their approach with how they use Dart, and more specifically not giving him as many or any designed runs.

Interim head coach Mike Kafka has plenty of motivation to do that, and not just for Dart's well-being. If Kafka wants the full-time job, he needs to do a lot more winning and Dart is New York's best bet to do that.

But that won't simply be enough to protect Dart, as the rookie has to do a better job of protecting himself, also, by sliding more and not taking as many hits when he does take off with the football.
