This makes his daughter, Ronnie, the focal point of the ensuing fear and prejudice.
This episode likewise follows Lilly Bainbridge, who grapples with guilt and trauma after her father's death in a pickle-factory accident, which continues to haunt her. She also starts having increasingly vivid and gruesome visions at places such as the supermarket aisles.
On the other side of the story, Major Leroy Hanlon and his wife Charlotte are drawn to the town until they are met with racism, hatred, and feelings of not belonging. At the Air Force base, Leroy infers that the earlier assault may have been staged.
