The Indian Pickleball League 2025 auction took place on November 22. Six teams, namely Mumbai Smashers, Hyderabad Royals, Bengaluru Blasters, Chennai Super Warriors, Lucknow Leopards and Capital Warriors Gurgaon will participate in IPBL 2025.
The competition will take place at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi from December 1 to 7. Before the tournament, a player auction happened, where all six franchises stacked up their respective squads with some big names.
Mumbai Smashers, assembled by Absolute Sports, backed by Nazara Techonlogies, grabbed the headlines by forming a dynamic lineup featuring the likes of Vietnam's Quang Duong (6.946 DUPR in singles, 6.587 DUPR in doubles) and USA's Allison Harris (5.71 DUPR in singles, 5.863 DUPR in doubles).
The Mumbai-based franchise also signed former India no. 1 Sindoor Mittal (4.02 DUPR in singles, 4.347 DUPR in doubles) alongside Ammol Ramchandani, Pearl Amalsadiwala and Rishi Reddy.
Chennai Super Warriors opted to assemble a squad blended with youth and experience. Top names like Mitchell Hargreaves and Roos van Reek will be in action for the Warriors. Lucknow Leopards made some bold choices at the auction, roping in some talented names like Shelby Bates and Ronav Motiani.
Phuc Huynh and Pei Chuan Kao headline the Bengaluru Blasters squad, while Ben Newell and Megan Fudge were the top names picked up by the Hyderabad Royals. Capital Warriors Gurgaon signed the likes of Danielle Jones, Stava Bhasin and Jack Munro to establish themselves as title contenders in the Indian Pickleball League 2025.
