Lamar Jackson looks very likely to miss the penultimate game of the 2025 season, and many are not happy about it.
On Thursday, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback was listed as doubtful for Saturday's game at the Green Bay Packers. He had not practiced throughout the week because of a back injury he sustained during Sunday's 28-24 loss against the New England Patriots.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is listed as doubtful for Saturday night’s game at Green Bay. If Jackson cannot play, Ravens QB Tyler Huntley would start.

Saturday's game is a crucial one for the Ravens, as a loss will officially eliminate them from playoff contention. Even if they win, they need to hope that the Pittsburgh Steelers lose at the Cleveland Browns the next day to force a winner-take-all clash at Acrisure Stadium in Week 18.
On the other side of the matchup, both of the Packers' quarterbacks have been listed as questionable. Jordan Love was limited in practice after being concussed during a 22-16 loss at the Chicago Bears also on Sunday. Malik Willis was also a limited participant on Tuesday and Thursday because of a shoulder injury, missing Wednesday because of illness.
Ian Rapoport weighs in on Lamar Jackson, Ravens' frustrations in 2025 season, implications for 2026
As 2025 draws to a close, speculation regarding Lamar Jackson's future with the Ravens has surfaced. The multiple-time MVP has been the subject of trade rumors, and John Harbaugh has had to personally dismiss rumors that he and his quarterback are not getting along.
And on Thursday's episode of the NFL Network's The Insiders, Ian Rapoport said about the franchise's tribulations in the 2025 season and what they may mean for 2026:
"It has been a frustrating season on many levels. Lamar has not practiced as much as they thought. He has been injured in some games. ... We'll see where this goes; it does feel like to me like a little bit of an inflection point. "We have [head coach] John Harbaugh discussing his status. We have Lamar with the opportunity to re-up his contract before the season at a time when a lot of people thought he would. Did not happen. The Ravens, at the very least, have some things to figure out and some relationships to discuss in the offseason."Kickoff for the Packers game is at 8 pm ET on Peacock.
