A Hall of Famer has called WWE entirely fake. Over the years, pro wrestling fans have had to deal with the fake taunts since the outcomes are scripted. While WWE has done its best to present itself as a sports entertainment company more than a wrestling promotion, it hasn't changed the narrative entirely.
Now, UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping has taken a shot at WWE for being fake. Bisping was on commentary during Denzel Freeman’s bout against Marek Bujlo at UFC Qatar.
Bisping noted that Freeman was training to be a pro wrestler but realized it wasn't for him. The Count said the fighter's disinterest was obvious given that pro wrestling is fake.
"Denzel Freeman was on the roster for professional wrestling, to be a WWE star, but he didn’t like it because it was just too fake. Obviously, it’s entirely fake. They kept telling him to slow down in training. I’d like him to speed up in the fight," he said.Bisping, who was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2019, has been a middleweight champion in the company. This isn't the first time a UFC fighter has taken a dig at WWE or pro wrestling for not being real.
Mark Henry called out departed WWE star's boyfriend for calling wrestling fake
Jazmyn Nyx was written off NXT before it was revealed that she was not going to sign a new contract. However, it was her boyfriend, Bryton Constantin, who went viral for calling pro wrestling fake in an Instagram video.
During an appearance on TMZ Sports' Inside the Ring, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry said he didn't like the comments.
He said it was the industry's fault for letting non-wrestling fans into the business. Henry said it was a ragebait from Nyx's boyfriend for gambling sponsors.
