George Pickens is going to be a little lighter in the wallet this week.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver has been fined a whopping $26,085 for his touchdown celebration in the Week 11 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Pickens' touchdown celebration came after he scored on a 37-yard pass from quarterback Dak Prescott in the second quarter.
After reeling in the scoring grab, Pickens ran over to the goal post and promptly jumped on it, which is an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
Pickens was not on his best behavior last week.
The Cowboys wideout (along with fellow wide receiver CeeDee Lamb) was benched by head coach Brian Schottenheimer for the first series of the same contest.
While Lamb had said it was because both players missed their curfew, executive vice president Stephen Jones later revealed Pickens missed the team bus on gameday and that was what led to his benching.
"He's not going to play favorites with anybody," Jones said of Schottenheimer's decision.
"He felt very strongly [about] that, that was part of it. I think a lot of people thought (Lamb and Pickens) had to be together because they are great friends, but believe it or not, one was of the night before leading into the morning, and the other one was missing the buses."
Pickens doesn't have the best reputation around the league and his actions this past week won't help him.
That's important to note because teams might be hesitant to give him the big-money contract he'll be seeking next year as a result when he's slated to hit free agency.
