Brandel Chamblee's pick regarding the best ball striker has left behind pros like Charley Hull and Nelly Korda. The veteran golf analyst recently shared a post on social media revealing the name of a 24-year-old LPGA Tour pro.

The 2025 CME Group Tour Championship is currently underway at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples. Among other pros such as the former world number one Nelly Korda, Haeran Ryu is dominating the leaderboard. After two rounds of play, the golfer was tied for tenth place.

Today, Chamblee praised Ryu for being on top of her ball striking game referring to her wins over the last three years and performance in 2025 CME Group Tour Championship. The veteran golf analyst shared clips of Ryu from the course and wrote on X (previously Twitter):

"The best ball striker on the @LPGA tour, Haeran Ryu. She has a win in each of the last three years and is 10th place headed into the weekend at the @CMEGroupLPGA"

Take a look at Chamblee's post on X today:

Ryu scored 3-under par 69 in the opening CME Group Tour Championship round, carding six birdies and three bogeys. The LPGA Tour pro started round 2 with a birdie on the opening par-5 hole and carded two consecutive birdies on the sixth and seventh. In the back nine, she encountered a bogey on the par-4 tenth. Ryu finished the second round 5-under with three more birdies on the fourteenth, sixteenth, and seventeenth.

When Brandel Chamblee provided insights on Nelly Korda's range session at the 2024 CME Group Tour Championship

Last year, Korda scored a disappointing 72(E) in the opening round of the CME Group Tour Championship, carding multiple bogeys. Shortly after the round ended, the Bradenton native was spotted engaging in a unique swing drill at the range.

For all the fans tuning in, Chamblee provided some insight on Nelly Korda’s ongoing range session. He said (via Golfing Gazette):

"She puts the ball down behind her club... Jack Nicklaus always said that the most important part of the golf swing was the first foot. It’s important to go low and slow... I’ve watched Nelly Korda do this in the past."

He further provided a detailed assessment of Korda's moves.

"The ball barely rolls, maybe four feet back behind her golf ball. It’s a sign of the tempo and speed she’s trying to take the club back in one piece..."

Apart from that, Chamblee has often commented in detail on Korda's play. In another instance, the veteran golf analyst pointed out how her career has featured "slow starts".
