Adam Pearce makes a deeply personal revelation

WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce made a very personal revelation about himself in a recent social media update. He spoke about the words he lives by and the kind of legacy he hopes to leave behind.

In a recent video he posted on Instagram, the 47-year-old stated that someone in the comments of his social media posts asked him what his legacy would be besides "love somebody today," which is a quote he regularly posts on social media.

Adam Pearce noted that he did not focus much on his own legacy, as it is decided by other people. He explained the real meaning behind his regular "love somebody today" messages. Pearce further mentioned the other things he lived by were working hard, treating people fairly, and earning respect.

"I don't really think about legacy. I think legacy is largely decided by people other than you. I think our mission every day and our struggle every day should be to be the kind of person we want our kids to see us as, and that is a struggle every single day for me. But if you're asking me words of encouragement or things I live by, 'Love somebody today' is an awesome one, and that's more of a reminder for me in engaging the outside world than it is anything else. But the other thing, and if you follow me long enough, you know this is, 'work hard, treat people fairly, [and] earn respect,'" Pearce said.

Making a deeply personal revelation, the WWE RAW GM added that the legacy he wanted to leave behind was that he was a good father. Adam Pearce concluded by saying that he was committed to working hard and treating others fairly.

"Because I firmly believe if you do the first two things often enough for long enough, the third one will happen on its own. And once you earn respect, you are well on your way. So, I Just want to be a good dad. I want that to be my legacy that I was a good father. If the sh*t I say on here helps anyone believe that, that's what I am, awesome. I know when I look in the mirror every day, I got a lot of work to do and I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it hard. And I'm gonna treat people fairly," Pearce added.

Adam Pearce has been at odds with RAW tag team The New Day and their ally Grayson Waller for some time now. In addition to backstage segments on the red brand, the General Manager and the former World Tag Team Champions have occasional social media banter with one another.

Earlier this week, Kofi Kingston took to Instagram, calling for the immediate imprisonment of Adam Pearce. He referred to the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion as a tyrant who must be stopped.

It remains to be seen how the intriguing storyline involving Adam Pearce and The New Day plays out.
