A new rotation of Honkai Star Rail's combat gameplay mode Memory of Chaos (Forgotten Hall) is here in version 3.6. This iteration features enemies such as Aventurine of Stratagems, Wonder Forest’s Banacademic Office Staff, Flame Reaver of the Deepest Dark, and Ichor Memosprite - Judge of Oblivion. Clearing Memory of Chaos rewards you with a plethora of valuable items such as Stellar Jades, Credits, and Jade Feathers.

Since all enemies in Memory of Chaos have certain Types that they are weak to, using team compositions that take advantage of these weaknesses can help you achieve an easy clear. This article discusses the best team compositions you can use to complete Honkai Star Rail 3.6 Memory of Chaos.

Top team compositions that can be used in Honkai Star Rail 3.6 Memory of Chaos

Stage 12: First half

The first half of Honkai Star Rail 3.6 Memory of Chaos Stage 12 features the Furiae Praetor and The Ascended in Wave 1, and the Flame Reaver in Wave 2. All these enemies are weak to Ice, Lightning, and Quantum, making the following team compositions extremely viable:

1) Castorice, Evernight, Tribbie, Hyacine

A dual DPS team featuring Castorice and Evernight will help you quickly clear the first half of Stage 12 within a minimal amount of cycles. Since the current Memory of Chaos buff boosts damage dealt by characters with memosprites, both Castorice and Evernight can deal massive amounts of damage to all enemies.

In case you do not have Evernight, she can be replaced with Remembrance Trailblazer. Similarly, Tribbie and Hyacine can be replaced with Ruan Mei and Luocha, respectively. However, do note that the team's overall damage output will be significantly reduced if Castorice's premium team is not used.

2) The Herta, Anaxa, Tribbie, Hyacine

Since The Herta is an AoE Ice DPS unit who can dish out damage to multiple enemies in one go, she is a good choice for clearing the Furiae Praetor's summons in the first wave. Anaxa has incredible synergy with The Herta, and can act as both a sub-DPS and a Support unit in this team. Players who don't have Hyacine can instead use free unit Dan Heng Permansor Terrae as the Sustain in this team composition.

3) Aglaea, Sunday, Robin, Huohuo

Another AoE DPS unit who can take advantage of the memosprite buffs provided in this stage is Aglaea, who can wipe out the enemies in the first wave with relative ease. Sunday and Robin are her best supports, and using them in this team is essential for increasing her overall damage. Make sure to focus on defeating the Flame Reaver's summons first in order to minimize the damage taken from his ultimate attack.

Stage 12: Second half

The second half of Stage 12 in Honkai Star Rail 3.6 Memory of Chaos comprises of the Dreamjolt Troupe's Sweet Gorilla, the Dreamjolt Troupe's Bubble Hound, and the Aurumaton Spectral Envoy in Wave 1, along with the Ichor Memosprite - Judge of Oblivion in Wave 2. Since these enemies are weak to Physical, Fire, Imaginary, Lightning and Ice, you can use the following team compositions to clear this half:

1) Phainon, Sunday, Cerydra, Dan Heng Permansor Terrae

A Phainon hypercarry team with Sunday and Cerydra as supports will let you clear both waves pretty fast and efficiently. Focus on building up Phainon's energy so that he can enter his Ultimate form as quickly as possible. Using a shielder such as Dan Heng Permansor Terrae is the best option for this half, since enemies in both waves can be debuffed if your party members are protected by shields.

2) Kafka, Black Swan, Hysilens, Dan Heng Permansor Terrae

A DoT team featuring Kafka, Black Swan, and Hysilens is also a good choice for clearing the second half of Honkai Star Rail 3.6 Memory of Chaos. Kafka and Hysilens have excellent synergy and can constantly trigger DoTs, with Black Swan supporting the duo. Dan Heng Permansor Terrae is the best Sustain unit for this team owing to his shielding capabilities, which can debuff both the Dreamjolt Troupe's Sweet Gorilla, and the Judge of Oblivion.

3) Anaxa, Sunday, Cerydra, Dan Heng Permansor Terrae

For players who own Anaxa, a team with main DPS Anaxa can also be used to clear this half of Honkai Star Rail 3.6 Memory of Chaos. Anaxa's capability of implanting weakness and enhancing his own attacks can quickly clear out the enemies in the first wave, leaving you with plenty of cycles to defeat the Judge of Oblivion in wave 2. Sunday and Cerydra are Anaxa's best supports, and it is recommended to use them for optimal damage output. Similarly, Dan Heng Permansor Terrae is also the best Sustain option for this team.
