4 Bold Predictions for Roman Reigns in 2026

Roman Reigns didn't have the best 2025, with several major defeats throughout the year. The OTC lost in the main event of WrestleMania 41 against CM Punk and Seth Rollins, and was then beaten by Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel.

He most recently ended up losing the Men's WarGames Match at Survivor Series, although he wasn't the one pinned. Before the WarGames Match, Reigns had hinted at going after one of the world titles again. While it hasn't resulted in anything yet, things could change soon with the Royal Rumble just a month away.

On that note, here are four predictions for Roman Reigns in 2026.

4. Roman Reigns could win the 2026 Royal Rumble

After teasing a world title challenge, the best way to earn a shot at CM Punk or Cody Rhodes would be to win the Royal Rumble. Reigns has only won the 30-man battle royale once, and could emerge as the victor for a second time in 2026, 11 years after he first won it.

The Tribal Chief had a dominant performance in the 2025 edition of the match and could win it in Saudi Arabia.

3. Reigns could complete his WrestleMania trilogy with Cody Rhodes

In singles matches at WrestleMania, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are tied 1-1. While the Tribal Chief won at WrestleMania 39, Rhodes finished his story at the 40th edition of the premium live event. The two could complete their trilogy this year, especially if Reigns wins the Rumble and challenges Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship.

The two have had one of the most intense rivalries of the decade, and could complete their trilogy in Las Vegas next year.

2. He could put over Bron Breakker at SummerSlam

In the event that Reigns doesn't win the Royal Rumble, he could go on to challenge CM Punk or Seth Rollins to a singles match at WrestleMania 42. His next appearance would most likely be at SummerSlam, where he could challenge Bron Breakker.

The Dog of WWE could be the World Heavyweight Champion by the time August comes around. If so, he could put his title on the line against one of the greatest of all-time in what will surely be a dream match.

However, as he did with Bronson Reed this year, Reigns could end up putting Bron Breakker over by losing cleanly at SummerSlam.

1. He could take another hiatus

Roman Reigns has been working a very limited schedule over the past few years. The Tribal Chief could continue to do so in 2026, especially if he has other commitments outside of WWE. If the company doesn't have plans for him to enter the world title picture, he could take a hiatus after a potential WrestleMania angle.

A lengthy spell on the sidelines would make his eventual comeback even more impactful down the line. However, considering what has been teased for the Tribal Chief so far, it would be a surprise if he ends up taking a lot of time off in 2026.
