YouTube and Twitch star Darren "IShowSpeed" has opened up about his experience in Africa following his first-ever stream in the country. For those unaware, IShowSpeed commenced his Africa tour, Speed Does Africa, on December 29, 2025.

At the three-hour-40-minute mark of his broadcast titled, irl stream in Angola 🇦🇴, the 20-year-old spoke out about his experience in Africa, saying:

"Bro, I'm not going to lie, bro, I love the love in Africa, bro. The energy here is crazy. The energy and love, bro. I really do love the love and energy here, bro. Oh, I keep speaking Portuguese."

At that point, a man on a motorcycle approached the content creator and appeared to ask for $100. IShowSpeed responded:

"(A person riding motorcycle says, 'I need 500 for myself. I need 100. I need 100. 100 US Dollars.') What? You need a 100? A 100 what? I don't got cash on me right now. You're going to have to wait. Yeah, I don't got cash on me."

IShowSpeed plans on revealing his ethnicity and DNA test results at the end of his Speed Does Africa tour

During the same broadcast from Angola, IShowSpeed stated that he plans to reveal his ethnicity and DNA test results at the end of his Speed Does Africa tour. For context, during a livestream on November 10, 2025, the Ohio native stated that he would reveal information about his ethnicity

While the YouTube streamer did mention that he is 80% African and 20% European, he did not provide specifics.

At the three-hour-47-minute mark of his stream on December 29, 2025, IShowSpeed's attention was drawn to a viewer who asked if his DNA had Angolan ancestry.

Darren responded:

"'How much Angola DNA you have?' It's a lot. It's a lot of percent. I'm not going to reveal, like, how much percent. But I am Angolan, like, dead-a**. I am. I told y'all, I'm 80% African and 20% European, and Angola was a part of that African DNA. I think I'mma have to release it, though. I don't know why I'm holding on to it. Yeah, I should have. I should've released my DNA before the tour. Oh, on the last stream. Last stream, my DNA test results. That'll be cool."
