Chris Jericho may not return to WWE alone!

While Chris Jericho has been rumored for a return to the WWE for a while, he may not return alone. Y2J could return to the Sports Entertainment Juggernaut with his former AEW stablemate.

Chris Jericho has been with All Elite Wrestling since Day 1 and was also the first-ever World Champion in the company. However, Jericho has been absent from TV since his last appearance on Dyanmite in April. Meanwhile, Y2J is rumored to be returning to the WWE on January 5, 2026. Nonetheless, Jericho might return to the promotion alongside Mike Santana.

Jericho and Mike Santana were stablemates in the Inner Circle faction during their time in AEW. Santana is currently signed with TNA but also appeared in NXT recently. Considering the partnership between WWE and Total Nonstop Action wrestling promotions, Jericho could bring Santana on the main roster along with him upon his rumored return.

Mike Santana was a part of the Inner Circle group under the leadership of Jericho during the start of his AEW run. However, the group later dissolved to form the 'Jericho Appreciation Society' faction eventually. Later, Santana also feuded with JAS alongside his tag team partner, Ortiz.

WWE legend believes Chris Jericho has done everything he can in AEW

The WWE legend, Matt Hardy claimed that Chris Jericho has done everything creatively during his time in AEW amid his departure rumors. Speaking on his Extreme Life podcast, Matt also said that the fanbase would not be up for another main event run of Jericho in All Elite Wrestling:

"I almost think it's one of those things where I just think the AEW fanbase has had their share of Chris Jericho in many ways, and I think creatively he's done pretty much everything he can do there. I mean, unless they want to put him back into the main event mix, but I don't think the fanbase would be up for that, even though they could probably make that work in some capacity," Hardy said.

It remains to be seen if Y2J returns to the WWE sooner rather than later.
