WWE Saturday Night's Main Event saw two new champions emerge and left fans with a lot to talk about. While CM Punk defeated Jey Uso to win the World Heavyweight Championship, Jade Cargill dethroned Tiffany Stratton to win the Women's Championship.
Following the event in Salt Lake City, three superstars could step away from programming and take some well-deserved time off. In this listicle, we will look at those superstars and why they could take a break.
3. Drew McIntyre

On the episode of SmackDown before Saturday Night's Main Event, McIntyre and Cody Rhodes had a contract signing segment for their WWE Championship match. The Scottish Warrior forced the champion to include a clause where the title would change hands if Rhodes were to be counted out or disqualified.
However, The American Nightmare indirectly used his belt to win the match, after hitting McIntyre with a DDT on top of the title. The referee never saw the incident, and Rhodes was never disqualified. The champion took advantage of the situation and delivered a Cross Rhodes before earning the pinfall.
Yet another defeat against Cody Rhodes has seemingly killed all momentum for Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior's character has been buried after so many defeats in major rivalries, and it would perhaps be best for him to take some time off programming before returning to challenge for the title again.
2. Tiffany Stratton
The Buff Barbie was not 100% heading into her title match with Jade Cargill, but competed nonetheless. However, The Storm showed Stratton no mercy and targeted her injured knee before hitting her with the Jaded to win her first singles title in WWE.
Although the injury was part of the storyline, Stratton could take some time off television after losing her title. She had been the WWE Women's Champion since January, and could take a break for a few weeks following reports of her picking up a few knocks.
This would allow Cargill to explore other feuds, potentially with a returning Bianca Belair. Upon Stratton's return, she could rekindle her rivalry with The Storm and pursue the women's title again.
1. Jey Uso
Jey Uso came up short against CM Punk in a match with no interference and no funny business between the two competitors. The former tag team champion lost fair and square and was visibly angry with the result afterwards.
On his Instagram story, he posted a picture of Punk with the title and wrote "Y'all win," with a middle finger emoji, seemingly hitting back at fans who didn't want him to win the title. The YEET Master has been embracing his aggressive side over the past few weeks, and this was yet another example of him acting like a heel.
As a result, he could step away from programming for a few weeks, potentially after a heel turn. This would not only allow him to take some much-needed time off, but also for his character to get a reset before fully embracing a villainous persona.
It remains to be seen whether any of these stars take time off programming ahead of WWE Survivor Series next month.
