WWE is set to usher in a new era during tonight's episode of SmackDown. This week's show will be the first edition of the blue brand following Saturday Night's Main Event and will air live from Greenville, South Carolina.
Jade Cargill captured her first singles title in the company at Saturday Night's Main Event on November 1. She recently turned heel and attacked Tiffany Stratton on SmackDown and went on to defeat The Buff Barbie at SNME to become the new WWE Women's Champion.
Ahead of tonight's show, the promotion's official X account noted that Jade Cargill would be ushering in a new era as champion.

Jade Cargill used to be in a popular tag team with Bianca Belair, and the duo captured the Women's Tag Team Championships together. Belair suffered a hand injury at WrestleMania 41, and The EST still has not returned to the ring.
Konnan reacts to Jade Cargill capturing the WWE Women's Championship
Wrestling veteran Konnan recently shared his thoughts on Jade Cargill's victory over Tiffany Stratton at WWE SNME.
Speaking on the Keepin' It 100 podcast, the legend noted that Cargill looked like a star but suggested that she was not ready to be champion yet. Konnan added that the company should not be giving someone a title simply because they are popular with fans.
"She looks like a star but she's not championship material yet. She needs to be able to lead people...It's like when Liv Morgan first got the championship, I was burying them, 'She's too green, why did they give it to her, she's not ready,' then the second time they gave it to her, she was ready. She can lead people in a match, she cuts good promos...You don't just give it to somebody because they're over," he said. You can check out Konnan's comments in the video below:
Cargill won the Queen of the Ring tournament earlier this year but failed to capture the title from Stratton at SummerSlam 2025. It will be fascinating to see who will challenge The Storm first for the title in the weeks ahead on SmackDown.
