In a recent lighthearted recap with his wife, Amy Earnhardt, the NASCAR Hall of Famer revealed an amusing bedtime habit that caught many fans off guard: his go-to sleep aid involves long-form World War II history videos.
During the latest episode of “The Dale Jr. Download,” Dale Jr. jokingly explained how one particular type of content has become his favorite way to unwind at night.
“My favorite video is Dale Jr. Download. World War II sleep stories. It'll be like here's four hours of facts from World War II to go to sleep to." Dale Jr. said. [50:50]Earlier, Dale Earnhardt Jr. revealed his top YouTube interests, and NASCAR race replays were number one on the lists. The second on his list is classic rock music, followed by military history, home renovation ideas, and exploring abandoned places.
Dale Jr.’s interest in history isn’t new. Over the years, the two-time NASCAR Busch Series champion has openly talked about his curiosity beyond racing, often diving into podcasts, documentaries, and long-form discussions that explore topics far removed from the racetrack.
Amy reveals how Dale Earnhardt Jr. accidentally ate dog food
Amy Earnhardt never fails to give fans a glimpse into the lighter, more humorous side of life with NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr., and her latest story in the podcast did exactly that—revealing how the NASCAR Hall of Famer accidentally ate dog food, mistaking it for a late-night treat.
During the aforementioned podcast, while sharing the story, Amy said (21:40):
“The kid’s just gone to bed, and he comes to the couch with a little tiny cup of ice cream, and he's eating a couple of bites. And I look at him, I'm like... He's like, this is pretty good. I'm like, that's for dogs.”Dale Jr. quickly jumped in to clarify his side of the incident and said,
“I did not say this is pretty good. I did not. I took one bite, and I was like, “This is weird.” “I was like, that's for dogs. It had doggy pup cup written on the side of it. It was dog ice cream.” Amy responded.Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Amy tied the knot on New Year's Eve 2016, after dating since 2009 and getting engaged in Germany in 2015. The couple have two daughters, Isla Rose and Nicole Lorraine.
