Why Cardinals pulled Jacoby Brissett from QB for Kedon Slovis

The Arizona Cardinals are already without Kyler Murray, who is on Injured Reserve.

They didn't want to take any more risks on Sunday in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks.

With a big deficit inside of five minutes to play, Jacoby Brissett stayed on the sideline.

Kedon Slovis, the nominal QB3 who is now the QB2, came into the game.

Why did the Cardinals pull Jacoby Brissett for Kedon Slovis at QB?

The Cardinals are being careful.

With Murray already out, they can't afford to lose Brissett to injury.

That means bringing Slovis in was the only logical option in a game they weren't going to come back and win.

Even after a nightmare start that allowed two defensive touchdowns to Seattle, Brissett won't be losing the QB job while Murray is out.

This is just Arizona being safe to ensure they have Brissett in the weeks ahead.

Getting Slovis a few reps isn't a terrible thing, either.
