Former AEW champion has HUGE plans for his WWE future

A former AEW champion made his WWE debut earlier this year. He already has some big plans for his future in the company.

Ricky Saints made his WWE debut on NXT earlier this year. Within a short time of arriving in the sports entertainment juggernaut, he captured the NXT North American Championship. After losing the title, he marched on to become the NXT Champion. Currently, Saints reigns as the top champion on the black and silver brand. However, he has plans to win one more title.

Speaking on The Five Count, Ricky Saints revealed he plans to win the NXT Tag Team Championships and become a Triple Crown Champion.

“For NXT, I would love to somehow win the NXT Tag Team Championships and become that Triple Crown champ there.”

The WWE star also added that he is currently focused on being the best NXT Champion.

“But I think right now the focus is on being the best NXT champion that I can be, especially within this new era, and making sure that this place is still the hottest place it was from the day that I came in to the day that whenever you know, whatever happens next. So I’m looking forward to that and wearing that [NXT Championship] proudly as well.” [H/T Fightful]

WWE star Rick Saints will defend his NXT Championship against Trick Williams this week on NXT

Ricky Saints and Trick Williams have been feuding over the NXT Championship for the past few weeks. Saints defended the title against Williams at Halloween Havoc 2025 and won. Despite losing the match, Trick Williams demanded a rematch for the title.

As tensions between the two men escalated, Ava announced that a Last Man Standing Match would take place for the title this week on NXT.

It will be interesting to see if Ricky Saints will be able to retain his title this week.
