One of the most prestigious professional track and field circuits heads to Norway this week. That's right, Diamond League competes in Oslo Wednesday.
This year marks the 61st annual meet at Bislett Stadium, celebrating top-tier international talent on a global stage. This venue has much history, having seen nearly 100 world records across track and speed skating events.
The Diamond League is coming off a dramatic meet in Stockholm last weekend. Fans saw Swiss athlete Audrey Werro record the third-fastest 800m in history, Kurtis Marschall end phenom Mondo Duplantis' 40-meet winning streak in pole vault, and 17-year-old Texan Cooper Lutkenhaus become the youngest Diamond League champion ever.
