Jeremy Lin reveals crazy story behind Kim Kardashian dating rumor

New York Knicks legend Jeremy Lin is sharing some insight into the rumor that he dated Kim Kardashian during his second year with the team.

Lin was a guest on the popular gossip podcast Pablo Torre Finds Out, where he was asked to share what was the craziest paparazzi moment in his career.

"Stuff about me dating Kim Kardashian," Lin said. "I mean, I have no idea where that came from."

Torre then tells Lin that he doesn't know the orgin of that rumor so then the Knicks alum begins to explain what he's been told how it got started.

"So this is what I've heard and I don't know if it's true or not," Lin begins. "I've heard that request did come in to the Knicks and as a real request."

"I think she at that time was filming her show," Lin continued as he thought exactly about what show she could have been filming around February 2012. Kardashian was, in fact, filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Kourtney & Kim Take New York.

"But I know that she was looking for a New York athlete to kind of be on this show essentially," Lin said before adding, still debating, "Is it true? Is it not?"

Lin continued, saying that he was told this information afterwards and that the "Knicks immediately declined without asking us."  

He added, "We're not allowing our young second-year player to go down this route right now."

Torre then jumped in and said, "They would not let me interview you. That's how protective the Knicks were of you at the time."

Lin responded, "I didn't even know that."

Jeremy Lin and Kim Kardashian's love lives now

While that rumor is now water under the bridge, Lin and Kardashian have moved on with their love lives and are currently in relationships.

The Knicks icon shared in 2023 that he got married two years ago on a Facebook post. The following year, he announced the birth of his child on Instagram.

As for Kardashian, she was married to Kanye West from 2014 to 2022 and they share four children together: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. She is now in a relationship with F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, who she recently supported at the Monaco Grand Prix over the weekend.
