Diablo 4 Season 12 has a lot to live up to, but there’s still plenty of time between now and then. At the time of writing, we’re only a few weeks into Season 11, and it’s been pretty popular so far, with many fans hoping some of the features, like the Sanctification will stick around. Seasons in this game range wildly in terms of quality and overall enjoyment from the community, so there’s a lot to live up to in 2026.
While we cannot say with 100% certainty when Diablo 4 Season 12 will start, we can tell you what we know at this time. The reason we cannot say with certainty is that Blizzard could change their mind and push it forward, or pull it back at the last moment. Here’s what we do know about Season 12 of D4, though.
The likely start day and estimated time for Diablo 4 Season 12
It’s very likely that Diablo 4 Season 12 will start on March 11, 2026. This is because we can see how many days are left in the moderately unpopular Reliquary System.
Unless something changes, you can expect Season 12 in March 2026 (Image via Blizzard Entertainment)It says, at the time of writing, that there are 71 days left, meaning March 11, 2026 will be when the D4 Season 12 will kick off. As far as the time goes, that part is unknown, but I think it will be 1 pm ET/10 am PT, which is when most things trigger in terms of seasons/updates.
Seasons have been shifted around before, so if there’s a change, such as needing to further balance upcoming changes, there is a precedent already set. However, this does create another sort of peculiar problem. We know that the Lord of Hatred expansion launches in April 2026.
With this in mind, we have to wonder if Season 12 will be incredibly short, so it doesn’t complicate things with that expansion. However, the Season of Hatred wasn’t fun, and was linked to/launched around the time of an expansion.
The hope is that this won’t happen again, and we don’t get a similar experience. Instead, they could perhaps have a Season that serves as a teaser for the upcoming expansion, and that would be more interesting.
