Joel Embiid could return to the Philadelphia 76ers' lineup during their regular-season game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. The former league MVP missed the previous game against the OKC Thunder on Sunday owing to a right ankle sprain and a right knee injury.
Ahead of the Grizzlies game, the7-foot center was upgraded to questionable, hinting at the superstar big man's return to action after a one-game absence. A confirmation of his final status will be known when the Sixers coach Nick Nurse addresses the pregame presser.
After a slow start to the season, Embiid found his rhythm and has delivered consistent performances over the course of his last four appearances. He is averaging 30 points per game over the last four games while shooting over 50% from the floor.

The season numbers, though, don't do justice to his potential, as injury-forced absences have prevented him from taking full flight. The Sixers center is averaging 21.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 blocks per game, while shooting 44.3% from the floor, including 25.9% from deep.
Meanwhile, Kelly Oubre Jr. (left knee sprain) and Trendon Watford (left adductor strain) will remain sidelined with their respective injuries. MarJon Beauchamp (G League two-way) and Johni Broome (G League two-way) are both listed as doubtful on the injury report.
