The Los Angeles Dodgers will be up against the Toronto Blue Jays in a do-or-die Game 6 on Friday at Rogers Centre after a 6-1 defeat in Game 5 has them on the brink of losing their crown.
With the team trailing 3-2 in the best-of-seven series, Dodgers players opted against taking a day off. MLB insider Bob Nightengale shared the update on X, writing:
"Dodgers manager Dave Roberts gave everyone on his team the option of working out tonight or taking the day off:Every player showed up at Rogers Centre for the workout."•

Fans reacted to the update, taking a jab at the insider on social media.
"What else are they supposed to do sit in their hotel rooms 😂 😆"what eles are they supposed to do sit in there hotel rooms 😂 😆
I mean you're one game away from not being with your team for maybe ever after this run. I'm sure you want every opportunity to enjoy this time together
"Like what are they gonna say, 'no thanks!'"
Like there really was an option. Boss: everyone is working for free this weekend; you are too, right.?
You would hope after getting clowned for 2 games
They're facing elimination. What else would they do?
The Dodgers will have Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound with hopes of pushing the Fall Classic to Game 7. Yamamoto threw a complete game in the second game of the series.
