As someone who experiments a lot with various formations and tactics, I’ve seen firsthand how much easier defending becomes when you have giant CBs.
So, I’m sharing the tallest center-backs you can sign in EA FC 26 Career Mode here. Whether you want young high-potential defenders for a long save or experienced giants for immediate impact, or even budget-friendly defenders, this list has a mix that fits every squad style and budget. Let’s get you the defensive wall your team deserves.

Now, some of the standout defenders you must sign are Touré, who is literally the tallest defender in the game at 6’9” and a steal deal at $4.6M. With 79 potential, he’s a perfect signing for a mid-table team in Career Mode. Cunha and Kristensen also have great height at 6’6” with above 80 potential. If you want a future superstar, Huijsen at 6’5” with 89 potential is one of the best young, tall CBs in EA FC 26. Due to his age and potential, the Real Madrid defender would be expensive.
If you want elite quality, Tah, Sule, Milenković, and Burn are the best pick who brings strength, height, and top-tier defending. You shouldn’t ignore budget grms like Marcelin or Raux-Yao, who are cheap, tall, and perfect for Road-to-Glory saves.
If you like playing with a dominant defensive style and aerial superiority, tall center-backs give you that edge. According to my experience, the best defensive winning combo would be to pair one of the above giants with a fast center-back.
