The sixth-seeded BYU Cougars are dancing for the third consecutive season, but they’ll have to wait until late Tuesday night to find out exactly who they'll be facing in Portland.

Under second-year head coach Kevin Young, the Cougars (23-11) have become a mainstay in the national spotlight, led by the electrifying AJ Dybantsa. The 6-foot-9 freshman phenom and Sporting News First-Team All-American enters the tournament as the nation's leading scorer at 25.3 points per game, fresh off a historic Big 12 Tournament run where he broke Kevin Durant's scoring record with 93 points in just three games. Despite losing key starter Richie Saunders to a season-ending injury, BYU’s high-octane offense—ranked 10th nationally in efficiency—has them primed for another deep run, fueled by Dybantsa’s ability to score from anywhere on the floor.

The Texas Longhorns are heading to Portland after surviving a high-scoring battle in Dayton, with Tremon Mark hitting a last-second shot to give them the win over NC State. Led by Sean Miller in his first season in Austin, the Longhorns (19-14) found their rhythm late, leaning on the athleticism of Xavier transfer Dailyn Swain and the scoring punch of Jordan Pope.

Texas proved it could handle high-tempo pressure during its First Four victory, and now the Longhorns turn their attention to a BYU squad they previously beat in a 102-97 shootout during the Maui Invitational. With their elite offensive efficiency and familiarity with playing on short rest, the Horns enter the Round of 64 as one of the most dangerous double-digit seeds in the West Region.

This affair features plenty of star power, headlined by Dybantsa. With plenty of personalities on both sides of the ball, this 6-11 matchup is one you don't want to miss.

Here's what you need to know about Friday's matchup between BYU and Texas, including broadcast information and start time.
