Every offseason, some notable players decide to step away from the NFL.
This year, 27-year-old Pro Bowl center Drew Dalman for the Chicago Bears announced his surprise retirement. Recently, Boston Scott, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles, also retired.
But that's not all.
A former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker, who was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in the middle of the 2025 NFL season, retired from the NFL.
As Logan Wilson announced, the 29-year-old LB coming off his sixth NFL season, is retiring from the NFL. After five-and-a-half years in Cincinnati and a half season in Dallas, Wilson is stepping away from the NFL.

"After a lot of thought and prayer, I've decided to officially retire from the NFL," Wilson posted on Instagram. "From being a Wyoming kid to hearing my name called in the 3rd round of the 2020 Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals... football gave me more than I ever could have imagined."
Wilson steps away from the NFL after six years in the league, most of which came with the Bengals after being selected 65th overall, the first pick of the third round, in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Across six seasons, Wilson played in 83 games, starting 66. He finishes his career with 11 interceptions, 26 passes defended, seven forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, 5.5 sacks, 565 total tackles, 330 of which were solo, and 19 tackles for loss with 18 QB hits.

Wilson's stint with the Bengals was an impressive one, and while he didn't land any accolades, whether it was a Pro Bowl, Defensive Player of the Year, or All-Pro recognition, it was an impressive career for the Wyoming linebacker.
"Cincinnati will always mean a lot to me," Wilson said in his announcement. "...Thank you to every teammate, coach, trainer, staff member, and fan who was part of the journey. And to Cincinnati... I'll always appreciate the way you embraced me."
The veteran linebacker, currently a free agent and able to sign with any team, is stepping away from the NFL after six seasons. Wilson retires at 29 years old after a solid career in the league between his stints with the Bengals and Cowboys.
