Sherrone Moore's Michigan Wolverines celebrated a significant recruiting stride on Friday as offensive tackle Tommy Fraumann flipped his commitment from Miami of Ohio to Michigan. Fraumann had been committed to the Redhawks since April, but will now start his collegiate football career with the Wolverines.
Michigan fans heard the news and took to X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate:
A fan said, "We literally own Ryan Day"•

However, not all comments were supporting Sherrone Moore's side.
One read, "Leaving Big Ben’s school for Michigan? Rethink that decision young man!" Another said, "Michigan doing anything besides getting WRs for their 12 million dollar qb" One chimed in, saying, "Weight room"Tommy Fraumann measures in at 6’8 and 250 pounds. He had offers from some of the finest programs in collegiate football, but opted for the Michigan Wolverines. The three-star offensive lineman prospect will add some steal to Moore's offensive line in 2026.
According to Yahoo Sports, Fraumann was born and raised in Ann Arbor and attended Pioneer High School until moving to Illinois a couple of years ago. He'll now return to familiar surroundings and potentially hone his talents alongside some of the best players in the country.
Michigan Wolverines 7-2 entering second bye week
The Michigan Wolverines are on a three-game win streak since their loss to the USC Trojans. They showcased decent form entering their second bye of the ongoing season.
Sherrone Moore's side needs to win their remaining three games and hope that results go in their favor. That's the only way they'll make the playoffs after suffering losses to the Oklahoma Sooners and USC Trojans this season.
The bye comes at an optimal time as Moore's troops will get the chance to recharge ahead of an important three-game stretch. They're facing off against the Northwestern Wildcats, Maryland Terrapins, and archrivals, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The Wildcats and Terrapins are tricky opponents, but few games are as anticipated on the calendar as the Michigan versus Ohio State game. It'll see Moore's side lock horns with Ryan Day's defending national champions. Both sides would want nothing more than to put a spanner in the postseason works of their archrivals.
