Warriors writer sends harsh 12-word message to Stephen Curry after two-game losing streak

The Golden State Warriors didn’t perform well during their recent two-game road stretch.

After falling to the Milwaukee Bucks 120-110 on Thursday, the Dubs experienced a 114-109 defeat at the hands of an Indiana Pacers squad that was winless entering the contest.

Following Golden State’s troubling early-season losing streak, Blue Man Hoop’s Peter O’Keefe sent the organization’s star point guard, Stephen Curry, a harsh 12-word message.

“Stephen Curry is a major reason behind a pair of embarrassing losses,” O’Keefe wrote Saturday.

“Curry did have 27 points, four rebounds and six assists against the Bucks on Thursday, yet also shot just 8-of-19 from the floor (42.9%), had five unforgivable turnovers and was a -6 in a 120-110 loss despite the absence of opposing star Giannis Antetokounmpo.”

“Saturday was even worse for Curry who had 24 points but took 23 shots to get there, having gone 4-of-16 (25%) from three-point range in the five-point loss. He also had another five turnovers, uncharacteristically missed a free-throw, and was a -21 in 29 minutes -- easily his worst of the season.”

Even at age 37, Curry is expected to flourish as Golden State’s No. 1 playmaker.

While the franchise can still succeed if the four-time NBA champion doesn’t play his best basketball (teammates like Jonathan Kuminga and Jimmy Butler can help pick up the slack), it certainly won’t be smooth sailing.

Simply put, it isn’t easy being a high-usage contributor in the big leagues, as turnovers and inefficient shooting nights are virtually inevitable, no matter what level of stardom a player has reached.

Curry, who’s averaging 26.6 points and 4.4 assists on 46.5% field goal shooting and 38.5% three-point shooting, is doing his best to guide the Warriors in the right direction during the early stages of the 2025-26 season.

However, the two-time MVP must keep his off nights to a minimum if he truly wants the Warriors to reach their full potential.
