One of the biggest losses the New York Giants suffered in free agency was Wan'Dale Robinson departing to the Tennessee Titans.
Robinson stepped up as the Giants' No. 1 receiver in 2025 after the injury to Malik Nabers and went on to have a career year.
While the Giants hoped to keep him, there were a ton of rumblings about Robinson wanting to go to the Tennessee Titans, which came to fruition.
When asked why he wanted to leave for Tennessee instead of staying in New York, Robinson gave multiple reasons, including reuniting with former Giants head coach and new Titans offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, and being closer to home.
"I'm from Kentucky and it's closer to home for me and it’s a place I just felt like was kind of a perfect fit for me it was just kind of a new staff, new everything, obviously Dabes [Brian Daboll] was an added bonus but thought about going back to New York and there was some other teams on the table but ultimately it was between Tennessee or New York," he said, according to Titans beat writer Paul Kuharsky.
Robinson also mentioned the instability at quarterback he has experienced during his career and appears to be confident that the Titans have their guy.
"For a lot of my career, I haven't had that one guy back there playing quarterback. It'll be nice to know that we got our guy," Robinson added.
That's a bit of an odd statement coming from Robinson.
Granted, he's right, the Giants have been a mess at quarterback during his career, but the Titans and Giants are on even ground, at best, when it comes to their respective situations at the moment.
It's not like Ward has cemented himself in the NFL yet, and we'd go as far as to say Dart has shown more than the former No. 1 overall pick. If we had to choose between the two young signal-callers right now, we'd easily pick Dart.
